

Growing up between New York and Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, yoga quickly became a core part of Maddie's life. She's been practicing for over 13 years and teaching for 5, exploring a variety of
styles, methods of teaching, and platforms for teaching.
Her ultimate goal, however, has always remained the same: to help people get into their bodies. She's a firm believer that we learn a lot from our bodies and the “body doesn’t lie”, while recognizing that it is hard to get in touch with the body or know where to start!
Her classes are centered around using breath, introspective cueing, fluid movement, and even music to help facilitate that connection. After a personal life changing experience from breath work practice, she loves teaching robust breath to all students.
With a background in both dance and distance running, Maddie has a deep understanding of how our bodies move and what they might
"need" at any given moment...and if you're looking for a physical challenge, she can definitely give you one! Her classes are well-rounded and based on strong fundamentals, but ultimately just fun and not too serious!
